The Timonium Optimists raffle a pair of season tickets each summer for the Baltimore Ravens regular season home games. The seats are a little to the right in the upper level behind the eastern end zone (Section 511, Row 12, Seats 23 and 24). The view of the field is good, plus the seats are on the Light Rail side of the stadium.
Raffle tickets cost $2.00 each / three for $5. They may be purchased from Timonium Optimist members and at several local shopping locations where we set up temporary tables on weekends in July.
This year’s drawing will be held on Aug. 5, 2007 at 6:30 p.m. at the Timonium Joint Board Picnic.

Under the direction of co-chairs Seven and Chez Miller, the club achieved its best effort for the Ravens Ticket Raffle. Net profit on the 2006 raffle sales was just over $4,000!
The winning ticket was purchased by an anonymous donor for the benefit of Believe in Tomorrow, the organization that runs St. Casimir House. The tickets to 10 games were used to give children under treatment at Johns Hopkins and a parent some special time together attending a Ravens’ game. This unexpected twist with the raffle allowed the Timonium club to leverage the benefit of the fundraiser beyond the monetary profit.
Playoff Windfall
The unexpected opportunity to conduct a raffle for playoff tickets resulted in a windfall for our foundation budget of just over $1,100. The drawing for the two tickets to theRavens' playoff game on January 13 was held at the Timonium Optimist Board meeting on January 8. The winning ticket, #44, was held by Bill Glick and sold to him by Peter Frey. Gary Shultz did an excellent job in pulling plans together for the raffle on very short notice.
